Nuclear World War

I don't know who the military strategists in Iran are, but they are brilliant. Iran has made friends with countries who have plenty of nuclear missiles and means of using them against multiple world targets. And all of them are infuriated with the United States for the economic disasters the US has largely brought upon the world. Iran just hosted a summit in which final plans to miraculously rain fire down upon the whole earth (in order for their Mahdi to appear) may have been discussed.  
Maybe they set the date of September 11th at 8:46am Eastern time!

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. And he exercises all the power of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; (Revelation 13:11-14a)

Iran got their Russian buddies to get Obama off Iran's back while encouraging Russia to get inside US air and sea boundaries. A Russian sub went undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for weeks in June and July (http://freebeacon.com/silent-running/), and Russian planes ventured into airspace of Alaska and California (http://thespeechatimeforchoosing.wordpress.com/2012/07/07/russian-nuclear-bombers-intercepted-over-west-coast-on-fourth-of-july/).

Iran has threatened to close off its Straits of Hormuz. Iran has also promoted war in the horn of Africa (Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia) and in Yemen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yemeni_al-Qaeda_crackdown), which has a large Shia population, in order to threaten to close the straits between Yemen and the horn called Bab-el-Mandeb, “gate of grief” or “passage of tears” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bab-el-Mandeb). Closing both of these straits would virtually cut off oil supplies to the west from the Middle East.

Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit hosted by Iran

While many of us were watching the Republican Convention, Iran was hosting the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Aligned_Movement) of 120 member states which “represent nearly two-thirds of the United Nation's members and contain 55% of the world population.”

“The 16^th NAM summit took place in Tehran, Iran from 26 to 31 August 2012. According to MehrNews agency, representatives from over 150 countries are scheduled to attend. Attendance at the highest level includes 27 presidents, 2 kings and emirs, 7 prime ministers, 9 vice presidents, 2 parliament spokesmen and 5 special envoys. At the summit, Iran is taking over from Egypt as Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement for the period 2012 to 2015.”

In preparatory talks earlier in August, both presidents Ahmadinejad and Morsi described Iran and Egypt as "strategic allies," and after the conference, Morsi began removing tanks from the Sinai Peninsula (http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/egypt-pulls-tanks-sinai-peninsula-17140985#.UEVDaSK3nx4). During the conference president Morsi criticized Assad's government in Syria, but Iranian networks translated his words into Persian as if Morsi supported Assad.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon attended NAM in opposition to requests from Israel and the US not to do so, but he spoke strong words against Iran's human rights violations, its support of Syria, and its racist remarks toward Israel. Ban Ki-moon “identified nuclear proliferation as the biggest threat and called on Iran as NAM president to play a role, and also asked Iran to build international confidence on the peaceful use of its nuclear programme.” (http://thestar.com.my/columnists/story.asp?file=/2012/9/3/columnists/globaltrends/11957658&sec=globaltrends) 

“Indian Premier Manmohan Singh said today’s global governance structures were outmoded and NAM should take the lead in reforming these structures, including the Security Council, IMF and World Bank.” (same article as above)

There was also a controversy over invitations to prime ministers of Hamas and Fatah who each lay claim to be the only representative of Palestine, but eventually Hamas declined to attend. 

“Mahmoud Abbas’ presence in Tehran caused not only friction with the ayatollahs but discord with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia whose King Abdullah ignored a personal invitation submitted by Iranian President Ahmadinejad and did not attend the conference. Saudi Arabia supported Sadam Hussein in his war against Iran which killed about 500,000 Iranians.

Shiite Iran has tightened its noose around its enemy Saudi Arabia. Besides Yemen, it has strong Shia support in southern Iraq and a majority of Bahrain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahraini_uprising_%282011%E2%80%93present%29), with lesser percentages in Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (on the opposite side of the Straits of Hormuz), Oman, and Jordan.

The NAM summit's theme was “Lasting Peace through Joint Global Governance”. The closing session adopted the 162-page "Final Document" whose title reminds me of the Nazi's “final solution”. Netanyahu responded to Ahmadinejad's opening vitriolic speech against Israel at the summit by saying, 

"120 countries heard blood libel against Israel in Tehran today, and kept quiet," Netanyahu said. "This silence must stop and for this reason I will go to the UN to tell the truth about the terror regime of Iran which poses the greatest threat to world peace." reference

Scriptural Connections

I view Shiite Iraq and Iran (Persia) and Afghanistan (Media) as the “ram” (Daniel 8:20) born anew as a young “lamb” (Rev. 13:11), and the “beast of the sea” (Rev. 13:1-10) as the rest of Islam. I view Saudi Arabia as the “whore” (Rev. 17) who has supplied the Wahabi teaching and funds to slaughter Jews and Christians, for which it shall be judged (Rev. 19:2). But the “whore” has spread its influence around the world to include all nations who kill Jews and Christians (Rev. 17:15), and the nuclear powers of the beast will join together for “one hour” (Rev. 17:12) to destroy all these nations including some parts of the US. The NYPD has already linked nine 2012 terrorist plots to Iran (http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/20/us-iran-hezbollah-plots-idUSBRE86J0SW20120720). In the last week over a dozen saints have received visions of the US under nuclear attack. Video
